Henderson, NV – The second game of the double-header featured
Herbie Good on the hill for CSN as they looked to extend their winning streak to four.
Good was on point from the get go and collected two strikeouts in the first, one in the second and another in the third.
He give up a solo home run to lead off the fourth but dialed it back in with three more strikeouts after that and then two more in the fifth before being pulled for
Dan Skelly.
The Coyotes jumped all over the Eagles early on and it started with a two-run home run from
Justin Lutes in the first.
In the second, CSN would add four more runs, two of which came on a
Jarrett Perns triple.
Perns would collect a single in a scoreless fouth.
In the fifth,
Jordan Macias would single to plate
Jay Martz and
Nicco Festa. Then Perns would step up to the plate and send a shot over the left field wall to extend the Coyotes lead to eight.
Lutes would continue that inning on by scoring on a wild pitch.
CSN would (thankfully) be unable to finish the run-rule in the fifth because in the sixth with two outs, Perns would send a line drive into right-center field for the double and the cycle.
The Coyotes would call upon
Tyce O'Neill to close out the Eagles and get the win in the top of the seventh 11-2 via the run-rule.
