Henderson, NV – Saturday's matinee game featured the lefty
Ben Cutting in search of his second win of the season.
Cutting proved himself the better of the two men on the hill while holding the Eagles of Utah State University-Eastern to only five hits and one run. He struck out three batters as well and walked just one.
His ability to induce ground balls gave the infield plenty to do throughout the 7-inning contest.
The hits came in at the right time to compliment Cutting's excellent outing.
Jason Wallace led off with a single in the second and then would score from third on a wild pitch.
In the third and fresh off the completing the cycle the night before, Jarret Perns would double and then score after
Justin Lutes doubled on the next at-bat.
CSN would add one more in the fifth and another in the sixth on their way to the 5-1 victory.
