HENDERSON, Nev. (April 26, 2019) – Another strong afternoon has the No. 9 College of Southern Nevada baseball team inching their way ever closer to the top of the Scenic West Athletic Conference, no matter how strong the opposing team or Mother Nature.
CSN picked up a victory in a Friday doubleheader at USU Eastern before a nasty weather delay suspended game two, with the Coyotes earning a 4-3 win in game one. The wins improve Southern Nevada's overall record to 36-8 and their Scenic West mark to 19-4. The wins leave them just percentage points behind nationally-ranked Salt Lake Community College in win percentage.
Southern Nevada and USU Eastern will play three games on Saturday to conclude the series. Game two will resume on Saturday morning, tied at 6-6 in the seventh inning. The Coyotes will play their final home series of the regular season next week at Morse Stadium, hosting Salt Lake in a four-game series.
