Price, UT. (October 23, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer program lost a Scenic West Athletic Conference road match to close the regular season Saturday.
CSN dropped a 4-3 decision to host USU Eastern in overtime, splitting the season series with the Lady Eagles. The Lady Coyotes are now 6-11 overall with the loss, with a mark of 6-6 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
USU Eastern opened up with an early 1-0 lead, prior to Southern Nevada scoring in the 63
rd minute on a
Annabell Olivero to tie the match. Then
Geraldi Gomez posted a goal in the 65
th minute to give CSN a 2-1 lead, prior to USU Eastern tying the match in the 73
rd minute.
The Lady Coyotes reclaimed the lead in the 75
th minute, thanks to a
Geraldi Gomez goal. However, USU Eastern scored two unanswered goals, including a go-ahead goal in overtime, to earn the win.
Southern Nevada will now await seeding in next week's Region 18 tournament, hosted by Snow College.
