TWIN FALLS, ID (March 6, 2021) - The College of Southern Nevada softball team was swept in a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader at Southern Idaho Saturday.
 
The Lady Coyotes lost a 16-15 decision in game one, falling 7-6 in game two. The losses drop CSN to 10-13 overall and 0-4 in the first Scenic West series of the year.
 
Southern Nevada will return home to host Snow College next weekend.
 
Southern Idaho 16, Southern Nevada 15: A consistent CSN lead didn't hold up to a late run by the Golden Eagles.
 
Southern Nevada held a 15-12 lead entering the bottom of the seventh inning, with CSI scoring four runs to earn the win. CSN led for much of the game, holding a 12-3 lead midway through the fourth inning.
 
Liliana Gutierrez finished 3-of-5 in the game, while 
Kayley Cole was 4-of-4 with a trio of RBI's.
 
Southern Idaho 7, Southern Nevada 6: Southern Idaho led early to finish off the series sweep.
 
After Southern Nevada took a brief 2-1 lead early in the game, CSI scored five runs to take a strong 6-2. CSN came back to tie the game at 6-6 before CSI scored a walk-off run in the bottom of the seventh inning to once again break the collective hearts of the Lady Coyotes.
 
Caitlin Covington led the game offensively, going 3-of-3 at the plate.
