HENDERSON, Nev. (September 30, 2021) – A four-goal performance by
Geraldi Gomez lifted the College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer program to a dominating victory in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday.
The Lady Coyotes earned a 6-0 victory over Colorado Northwestern, holding a 31-5 advantage in shots in the match. CSN is now 5-7 overall, with a mark of 5-2 in Scenic West play.
Gomez dominated the match for Southern Nevada, scoring in the 24
th minute on a
Shahany Dominguez assist to open the scoring. Gomez scored again in the 36
th minute to give CSN a 2-0 halftime advantage.
A Las Vegas native, Gomez then scored in the 51
st minute on a Skylar Tavares-Brigh advantage to up the lead to 3-0.
Skylar Farrington scored an unassisted goal just moments later, while Gomez posted another score in the 61
stminute on a
Veronica Eslava assist. Farrington scored a goal in the 77
th minute to close CSN's offense.
Southern Nevada held a 20-3 advantage in shots-on-goal, with Gomez posting four goals in five shots-on-goal. CSN's goalkeepers had a trio of saves in the win.
The Lady Coyotes will play next on October 7, traveling to play No. 2 Snow College.
