HENDERSON, Nev. (October 15, 2022) – A day of celebration ended in disappointment for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer team.
CSN fell in its 'Sophomore Day' game, losing a 5-1 decision to visiting USU Eastern at the Cheyenne Soccer Complex. The loss drops Southern Nevada to 1-14-1 overall and 1-8-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
It was the Lady Coyotes who struck first, as
Danica Olvera scored an unassisted goal in the 36
th minute to give CSN a 1-0 lead. From there, USU Eastern flexed its offensive muscles and never looked back.

Alexsandra Padilla-Rubalcava combined for eight saves in the loss.
Southern Nevada will await its placement in the upcoming Region 18 tournament, which will be played from October 27-29 at the site of the Scenic West regular season champion.
