HENDERSON, Nev. (September 1, 2022) – Preseason competition was tiresome for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Soccer team, with a tough schedule leaving CSN low on momentum.
The Lady Coyotes opened Scenic West Athletic Conference play Thursday, earning a 2-2 tie with Colorado Northwestern Community College. Southern Nevada is now 0-5-2.
Leslie Garcia got the Lady Coyotes on the board in the 25
th minute, giving CSN a 1-0 lead heading into the second half. CNCC came back to take a 2-1 lead with just minutes remaining, prior to Annabel Olivero scoring the tying goal in the 89
th minute. Neither team scored in the second half, sending the result to a tie.
Quincy Gibson finished the match with six saves for CSN. Both Garcia and
Sierra Kashin each took three shots apiece.
The Lady Coyotes will play host to nationally ranked Snow College next weekend.
