Henderson, NV - March 15, 2024
In a commanding performance at Lady Coyote Field, the College of Southern Nevada softball team cruised to an 11-1 victory over Colorado Northwestern Community College. The Lady Coyotes displayed exceptional offense and solid pitching, overwhelming their opponents from start to finish.
From the opening inning, the Lady Coyotes set the tone with aggressive hitting and base running. They quickly took the lead and never looked back, showcasing their offensive firepower throughout the game.
Leading the charge for the College of Southern Nevada was center fielder Camryn Hunkins, who went 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple, three runs scored, and an RBI. Hunkins' performance ignited the team's offense and provided a spark early in the game.
The Lady Coyotes received contributions up and down the lineup, with multiple players recording hits and driving in runs. Chaleah Workman's three-run homer highlighted a potent offensive display, while Shelbie Hoyt added a triple and two RBIs to the team's impressive total.
On the pitching side, London Lamb delivered a solid performance, allowing just one run on four hits over five innings of work. Lamb's ability to command the strike zone and keep hitters off balance stifled Colorado Northwestern's offense and helped secure the win for the Lady Coyotes.
Despite the lopsided score, Colorado Northwestern showed resilience and battled throughout the game. However, the Lady Coyotes' combination of strong pitching and explosive offense proved to be too much to handle.
With the win, the College of Southern Nevada improves to 6-15 on the season and looks to carry the momentum into their upcoming games. The Lady Coyotes' confidence is high as they continue to fine-tune their game and compete at a high level in the conference.
