Price, UT- In a fiercely contested softball matchup, the College of Southern Nevada faced off against Utah State Eastern in a thrilling game that ended with a 10-8 victory for Eastern. Despite a valiant effort by the Coyotes, they couldn't overcome Eastern's offensive firepower and defensive prowess.
The game started off with a strong showing from the Coyotes, who managed to take an early lead with two runs in the second inning and two more in the third. Their offense was led by standout performances from Mia Elicerio, who went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, and Kenady Converse, who contributed a home run and three RBIs to keep Southern Nevada in the game.
Pitcher A. Hess led the charge for Utah State Eastern, pitching six innings and allowing eight runs on 14 hits. Despite the high number of hits, Hess managed to keep the Coyotes from mounting a significant comeback, relying on her defense to make key plays when needed.
