College of Southern Nevada Prevails in Thrilling 11-Inning Battle Against Southern Idaho

Henderson, NV - In a showdown that tested the nerves and skills of both teams, the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) emerged triumphant in an epic 11-inning battle against Southern Idaho (CSI). The game, played at a fever pitch at Morse Stadium, showcased the resilience and determination of both sides, culminating in a thrilling walk-off victory for CSN.

The game kicked off with CSI making an early statement in the top of the 1st inning. 

CSN, however, wasted no time responding in the bottom of the 1st inning. Brady Ballinger's double down the left-field line set the stage for a dramatic inning. Kyle Kiernan's walk followed by aggressive baserunning resulted in a run for CSN. A sacrifice fly from Tyman Long brought another run home, showcasing CSN's ability to capitalize on opportunities.

As the game progressed, both teams traded blows, each inning carrying the weight of potential victory or defeat. CSI's C. Carter delivered a crucial hit in the top of the 3rd inning, bringing home two runs and shifting momentum in their favor.

CSN, however, refused to back down. Tyman Long's double in the bottom of the 4th inning narrowed the gap, keeping the game tense and exciting for players and fans alike.

As regulation play ended with the score tied at 7-7, the intensity only grew in extra innings. Both teams fought fiercely, knowing that one decisive play could determine the outcome.

In the bottom of the 11th inning, with runners in scoring position, Jack Wheatley stepped up to the plate for CSN. The tension was palpable as Wheatley connected with a clutch single, driving in the winning run and sending CSN's fans into a frenzy of celebration.

With this thrilling win under their belts, CSN looks ahead to the remainder of the season with confidence. The resilience displayed in this game serves as a testament to their potential as contenders in the competitive collegiate baseball landscape.
