HENDERSON, NV, March 18, 2025 — In a thrilling conclusion to their two-game series, the College of Southern Nevada Coyotes edged out Chandler-Gilbert Community College 11-10 at Morse Stadium. This victory elevates CSN's impressive record to 30-6 for the season.

The game was an intense back-and-forth affair that saw multiple lead changes and a combined total of 21 runs scored. CSN, however, clinched the win thanks to a pivotal four-run rally in the seventh inning, underscoring their resilience and offensive firepower.

Kody Bialas, pitching in relief for CSN, secured his first win of the season after a challenging outing where he navigated through the Chandler-Gilbert lineup amidst a high-scoring game. Andrew Kaplan also played a crucial role, picking up his sixth save despite Chandler-Gilbert rallying late in the game.

The match started with Chandler-Gilbert taking an early lead, scoring in the first and adding a significant three runs in both the third and fourth innings, propelled by Gage Easton's three-run homer. CSN responded in the bottom of the fourth with two runs but still found themselves playing catch-up.

CSN's offense came alive in the sixth, sparked by a two-RBI single from Brandon Swanson and additional runs batted in by Chaz McNelis and Roy Durham, setting the stage for their seventh-inning heroics. In that inning, Roy Durham delivered a crucial triple that drove in two runs, giving CSN a lead they would not relinquish.

Defensively, both teams showed some vulnerabilities, with CSN committing three errors that contributed to Chandler-Gilbert's scoring opportunities. Despite these mistakes, the Coyotes' pitchers managed to contain the damage in critical moments, particularly in the ninth inning when Chandler-Gilbert threatened with two more runs but fell just short.

For Chandler-Gilbert, Everett Swaim took the loss after surrendering four runs in a little over an inning of work. Their hitters, however, had a strong day at the plate, with Xander Ras and Gage Easton providing much of the offensive spark.

This game not only showcased CSN's potent batting lineup but also highlighted their ability to perform under pressure, pulling out a win in a high-scoring and volatile game. As CSN continues their season, this victory will surely stand out as a testament to their tenacity.
