PRESCOTT, Ariz. — March 21, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada delivered an offensive outburst Saturday morning, scoring 16 runs to defeat Yavapai College 16–7 in game three of the four-game ACCAC series.
The Roughriders struck first with a four-run opening inning, but the Lady Coyotes responded immediately and took control with a dominant stretch over the next two innings.
CSN got on the board in the top of the first before erupting in the second inning. The Lady Coyotes sent multiple hitters to the plate and capitalized on timely hitting and defensive miscues to score seven runs and take an 8–4 lead.
The Coyotes continued their offensive surge in the third inning, plating seven more runs to extend the advantage to 15–5. CSN added an additional run in the fifth inning to cap the scoring at 16–7.
The Lady Coyotes finished with 13 hits in the contest and received production throughout the lineup. Chloe Tepraseuth led the offense with three hits, including a double and a triple, while driving in two runs and scoring three times. Ellie Leatham delivered a big performance with two hits, including a home run and a double, and drove in four runs.
Reggi Frei added two hits and drove in four runs, while Mariela Rodriguez collected two hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in two runs. Mattingly Mauzey contributed a hit, an RBI, and scored twice, and Destinee Lopez added a hit and an RBI in the win.
CSN also showed discipline at the plate, drawing five walks and executing situational offense to sustain multiple big innings.
In the circle, Haley Horst earned the win, working four innings and allowing seven runs (two earned) while striking out three. Callie Averett entered in relief and tossed a scoreless inning to close out the game.
According to the box score, CSN scored 16 runs on 13 hits, while Yavapai finished with 10 hits in the game.
With the victory, the Lady Coyotes continue their strong ACCAC play and remain in control of the series heading into the final game.
The four-game series will conclude later Saturday in Prescott.
