HENDERSON, Nev. — April 11, 2026 — The College of Southern Nevada delivered late-inning drama Saturday afternoon, scoring in the bottom of the seventh to secure a 5–4 walk-off victory over Central Arizona College and claim the four-game ACCAC series at Lady Coyote Field.
The Lady Coyotes struck first in the opening inning. Jaydah Chun drew a walk and advanced before Chloe Tepraseuth singled to put runners in scoring position. Ellie Leatham followed with a fielder's choice that allowed Chun to score, giving CSN a 1–0 lead.
Central Arizona responded with a three-run second inning, using a combination of doubles and singles to take a 3–1 advantage.
The Vaqueros extended the lead to 4–1 in the fourth inning on an RBI double, but the Lady Coyotes began to chip away.
In the bottom of the fourth, Justice Lavin reached base and Sierra Dennison entered as a pinch runner. After advancing into scoring position, Athena Tonga'onevai delivered an RBI single down the left-field line. Moments later, Destinee Lopez lifted a sacrifice fly to bring home another run, cutting the deficit to 4–3.
CSN continued the comeback in the fifth inning when Tepraseuth launched a solo home run to center field, tying the game at 4–4.
Both teams were held scoreless through the sixth, setting up a dramatic final inning.
In the bottom of the seventh, Ellie Leatham reached base and advanced into scoring position. Ciana Cubi followed with a single to put runners on, and after a fielder's choice loaded the bases, Reggi Frei delivered the game-winning hit, singling to right-center field to score the winning run and give the Lady Coyotes the walk-off victory.
CSN finished with nine hits in the contest. Frei led the offense with four hits, including the game-winning RBI. Tepraseuth added two hits, including a home run, while Cubi and Tonga'onevai each contributed key RBI hits.
In the circle, Haley Horst earned the complete-game victory, allowing four runs on eight hits while working all seven innings. According to the box score, Horst limited Central Arizona to four runs on eight hits with two walks and one strikeout.
With the win, the Lady Coyotes improve to 25–15 overall and 14–6 in ACCAC play, closing out the series on a strong note.
CSN will hit the road next weekend, traveling to Yuma, Arizona, for a four-game ACCAC series against Arizona Western College, with doubleheaders scheduled for Friday and Saturday.
