Bryan Maloney joined the College of Southern Nevada baseball staff in the fall of 2011. His duties with the team are hitting coach.
A California native, Maloney moved to Henderson in 2008, and was owner of West Coast Baseball School for 21 years. Maloney and his chain of schools, formerly based out of Southern California, have developed players for the Major Leagues (16), Minor Leagues (40) and Major Division I-II-III Universities (150+).
Major League Baseball players that have benefitted from the West Coast Baseball School Program include: Ryan Braun, Brennan Boesch, Daniel Worth, Delmon Young, Gabe Kapler, Jack Wilson, Ryan Lavarnway, Jeff Suppan, Freddy Sanchez, Randy Wolf and Conor Jackson.
Maloney has many years of coaching experience. Most notably, he was the head baseball coach at Agoura High School in Agoura, Calif., from 1994-1996. He was also a hitting coach for the Kenai Peninsula Oilers Collegiate Summer League in 1994.
Over the last two decades, Maloney was an associate scout for both the Atlanta Braves and Kansas City Royals organizations and part time scout for the Chicago White Sox. He also managed the Atlanta Braves Scout Team out of Los Angeles.
Currently, Coach Maloney coordinates the ABD Academy Nevada program here in Las Vegas.
Maloney and his wife, Juli, have two boys: Garrett, 15, and Kaelan, 12. Juli and the boys share a passion for the game, as Garrett and Kaelan both play baseball, Garrett at Liberty High and Kaelan at Paseo Verde Little League. Juli is a teacher in the Clark County School District.
