Dan Jaffe

Coach Dan Jaffe, Coyote alum from 2012, is entering his 2nd season as the CSN catching coach, joining the staff in the Fall of 2016. He oversaw a catching crew that led the conference in caught stealing percentage, fewest passed balls, and fielding percentage in 2017 before heading to the 2017 JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado.
 
Prior to CSN, Dan was an assistant coach at Arbor View High School for the 2016 season. He is currently an assistant coach with the Dodgers Scout Team here in Las Vegas, where he will be entering his fifth season in the fall of 2018. Dan also served as a coach in the Las Vegas Baseball Academy since 2013.
 
Dan was the starting catcher for two years at Pacific University for the 2013 and 2014 seasons. He played his sophomore year in 2012 here at CSN, playing for current Coyote coaches Nick Garritano and Bryan Gidge. Dan transferred to CSN at the winter break before the 2012 season, after playing his freshman year (2011) at Villanova University in the Big East Conference. Dan is a local product, playing his high school baseball for Palo Verde High School.
 
Coach Jaffe graduated from Pacific with a B.A. in Political Science. He then got his Master's degree from Texas A&M in 2015, receiving an M.S. in Sports Management.

Dan was born in Flemington, New Jersey on April 8, 1992. When he is not coaching, he enjoys golfing, spending time with his family and friends, and watching college football or the New York Mets.
