Amber Kuhlman

Amber Kuhlman is entering her first season as an Assistant Coach for the College of Southern Nevada’s Cross Country Program. This will be her ninth year coaching, and she specializes in run form and speed training. She has coached high school track and field in Las Vegas for the past eight years, and is passionate about giving our local athletes the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. She has coached individual regional champions, state champions, and team regional champions during her career.

Amber earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Secondary Education: Biological Science from Western Governors University. Prior to earning her degree, she attended Shadow Ridge High School in Las Vegas and competed in Track and Field for the Mustangs. She was a four-year letterman, three-year captain, and competed in the women’s decathlon for Team Nevada at the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic in New Mexico. Her love for the sport drove her to begin coaching right out of high school, and she has been a student of the sport and honing her craft ever since.

Amber was born in Rochester Hills, Michigan on September 23, 1996. She was raised in the suburbs of Detroit and moved to Las Vegas in 2005. She is engaged and getting married in October 2022. In her free time, Amber enjoys lifting weights, reading, and riding dirt bikes.
