Patricia Sanz returns for her second season as an assistant coach with the College of Southern Nevada women’s basketball program. In her first year with the Coyotes, she played an instrumental role in guiding the team to a 22-10 record and the program’s first-ever appearance in the ACCAC Conference Championship.

A native of Madrid, Spain, Sanz enjoyed a standout collegiate career at St. Thomas University, where she served as team captain and earned the prestigious Sun Conference Emil S. Liston Award as a junior. During her senior season, she led the Bobcats to a 19-5 record and a berth in the NAIA National Tournament.

Following her playing career, Sanz transitioned into coaching as a Graduate Assistant Coach at St. Thomas University, helping the program achieve a 21-8 record during her tenure.

In addition to her coaching career, Sanz proudly serves in the United States Air Force, where she continues to demonstrate leadership both on and off the court. She was a member of the All-Air Force Women’s Basketball Team that captured the 2024 Armed Forces Championship and was recognized as the 2024 Air Combat Command Female Athlete of the Year.

Sanz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity and Data Analytics, both from St. Thomas University.

With a diverse background as both a player and coach—and a commitment to service and excellence—Patricia Sanz brings a dynamic perspective to the CSN women’s basketball program as the Coyotes look to build on their historic success.
