James Hernandez is a play-by-play broadcaster and sports information assistant with the CSN Athletic Department. He has been contributing to the Coyotes since 2015.
Hernandez started his tenure with CSN in 2015, helping as a sports information assistant while also serving as a reporter covering CSN Athletics. He is Co-Host of CSN’s athletic podcast – ‘The Howl’ – and also serves as a play-by-play voice for the CSN baseball and softball programs. He also assists with managing CSN’s social media accounts and contributes editorial content to csncoyotes.com.
His other professional accomplishments have included contributing content to Fox Sports from 2014-17, while also working as a sideline correspondent and content contributor for MaxPreps from 2015-17. Hernandez completed an Associate degree from CSN in 2017 and is currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in sports marketing at Western Governors University.
A native of Southern California, Hernandez, moved to Las Vegas in 1990 and resides in Las Vegas with his wife Amy and their two dogs Jaxson and Juno. In his spare time he enjoys watching horror films and collecting rare movie posters.
