Coyotes escape Cougars 4-3

After dropping a pair of games to South Mountain last weekend in Phoenix, CSN returned to the "Den" with revenge on the brain.

Ryan McDonald was on the bump for the Coyotes looking to improve to 3-0 on the season. Justin

Lutes got the scoring started for the Coyotes with an opposite field double that plated Beau Capanna to extend the lead to 2-0.

SMCC fought back and took a 3-2 thanks to a two-run double off the bat of Toi Moyer in the top of the fifth.

Joey O'Brien doubled home the tying run in the bottom of the sixth.

After stellar relief from Matt Gilbertson and Alex Tisminezky (4 IP, 0 Hits, 8 K's) the stage was set for some ninth-inning "Morse Magic."

Two out hits from Jordan Macias and Beau Capanna allowed Justin Lutes to bring in the winning run a a hard hit, misplayed ball from the Cougar first baseman.

CSN defeated SMCC 4-3 in dramatic fashion to improve to 6-4 overall. Alex Tisminezky earned the victory for Southern Nevada.
