Coyotes Hold Off Apaches For 7-5 victory

The College of Southern Nevada entered Sunday's game versus Cochise College looking to extend its winning streak to four games and continue the teams torrid offensive assault. CSN plated 34 runs in three games coming into Sunday afternoon's contest.

The "Swiss Army Knife" Joey O'Brien got the start in a game that Coach Garritano assured us we would see at least half a dozen arms throw.

Matt Wong got the offense ignited with a two-out three run double in the bottom of the 2nd. AJ Amelburu brought in a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to extend CSN's lead to 5-0.

Cochise College fought back to within two runs at 7-5 and found themselves with the tying run on second base in the top of the ninth.

Alex Tisminezky came out of the pen to collect the final out of the game and record his second save of the season.

CSN defeated Cochise College 7-5 to improve to 8-4 on the year and extend its winning streak to four games.
