Southpaw Nick Rupp took the ball in Saturday's finale and delivered another stellar performance for the CSN pitching staff.

Rupp fanned six Spartans over 5.1 innings of work, surrendering just a single run in the victory.

Reigning SWAC player of the year Justin Lutes got into the scoring act early, launching a laser over the right field wall to plate Joey O'Brien and give CSN a 2-0 advantage. Michael Camburn doubled up the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning with a clutch two-run single in the bottom of the fourth inning.

JD Brooks tossed the final 3.2 innings of the game, striking out four batters and securing his second save of the season.

CSN dropped CNCC 5-2 to run its winning streak to 18 games and improve to 22-4 overall.
