HENDERSON, Nev. (August 29, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team moved to 3-0 on the 2019 season Thursday, earning a victory in their home opener.
The Lady Coyotes picked up a 1-0 victory over Sheridan College (WY), scoring a goal well into the second period to earn the victory. The win means Southern Nevada will stay undefeated entering a matchup with Arizona Western College Friday.
After both teams went back-and-forth throughout the first half, CSN finally found momentum in the second half and scored in the 72
nd minute as Liana Soifua found the back of the net to give the Lady Coyotes their first lead. Southern Nevada was the aggressor throughout the match, holding a 9-4 advantage in shots. CSN goalie

Southern Nevada will host Arizona Western in a match at Heritage Field in Henderson on Friday. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
