HENDERSON, Nev. (August 29, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team moved to 3-0 on the 2019 season Thursday, earning a victory in their home opener.
 
The Lady Coyotes picked up a 1-0 victory over Sheridan College (WY), scoring a goal well into the second period to earn the victory. The win means Southern Nevada will stay undefeated entering a matchup with Arizona Western College Friday.
 
After both teams went back-and-forth throughout the first half, CSN finally found momentum in the second half and scored in the 72^nd minute as Liana Soifua found the back of the net to give the Lady Coyotes their first lead. Southern Nevada was the aggressor throughout the match, holding a 9-4 advantage in shots. CSN goalie Amanda Lujan finished the match with two saves.
 
Southern Nevada will host Arizona Western in a match at Heritage Field in Henderson on Friday. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start.
