HENDERSON, Nev. (August 30, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team jumped out to a quick start Friday, earning a dominating win over visiting #12 Arizona Western College.
The Lady Coyotes earned a commanding 5-0 win over Arizona Western Friday, moving to 4-0 on the young season with the win. CSN controlled the tempo of the match and efficiently held a 15-6 advantage in shots.
After a mostly scoreless first half, the floodgates opened for Southern Nevada in the 37
thminute as
Nohemi Mendoza got CSN on the board, followed up by a
Katherine Realegeno goal. Mendoza scored two more goals in the second half, along with a
Kayla Meyer goal. Mendoza was a perfect 3-of-3 when it came to turning shots into goals.
CSN's next match is scheduled for September 6 against Western Wyoming Community College, with a match on Sept. 7 against Otero Junior College also on the schedule.
