HENDERSON, Nev. (September 21, 2019) – In a matchup of nationally-recognized programs, the College of Southern Nevada men's soccer team fell short as they faced No. 4 Salt Lake Community College in a Scenic West match on Saturday.
 
The Coyotes, who are still receiving votes in the NJCAA polls, lost to Salt Lake by a score of 4-1, dropping CSN to an overall mark of 5-4-1 and 0-2-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference action. CSN earned a tie against in-state rival Truckee Meadows Community College on Thursday.
 
Salt Lake jumped out to a 3-0 lead on the Coyotes, taking a 1-0 match midway through the first half and stretching the lead to 3-0 just minutes into the second half. Southern Nevada got on the scoreboard with minutes left in the match as Philip Obradovic scored a goal on a corner kick.
 
Obradovic had a team-high 3 shots, with 3 of the shots on goal. The Coyotes had 10 shots as a team.
 
CSN will hit the road for two matches in the Scenic West next weekend, with a match against USU Eastern looming on Thursday in Price, Utah. From there, Southern Nevada will travel to play at Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday. CSN's next home match is scheduled for October 17 against CNCC.
