PRICE, UT. (September 26, 2019) – The College of Southern Nevada women's soccer team rebounded after a tough weekend, earning a tie at USU Eastern Thursday.
The Lady Coyotes finished in a 2-2 tie with the Eagles, starting a five-match road trip off in style. The tie moves Southern Nevada's overall record to 7-3-1 and a mark of 2-2-1 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference.
USU Eastern took a 1-0 lead before
Nohemi Mendoza scored a goal in the 61
st minute to tie the score at 1-1. The Eagles retook the lead minutes later before Mendoza scored her second goal of the match in the 77
th minute. From there, neither team was able to gain an edge.
CSN took 7 shots in the match.
Amanda Lujan made 4 saves for Southern Nevada in the match, preserving the tie in the overtime periods.
Southern Nevada will travel to play a match at Colorado Northwestern Community College on Saturday. The match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MDT)
