HENDERSON, Nev. (September 6, 2019) – The No. 8 College of Southern Nevada men's soccer team had a successful start to the weekend, earning a 3-0 victory over Western Wyoming Community College at Heritage Park in Henderson.
The match was a back-and-forth battle until the 46
th minute as
Luis Gallardo scored an unassisted goal to give CSN a 1-0 lead. Then in the 73
rd minute,
George Balcazar scored a goal to extend the lead to 2-0. Finally,
Edgar Donate scored in the 79
th minute to round out the scoring for the Coyotes.
CSN held a 34-2 advantage in shots, with a 13-1 advantage in shots-on-goal.
Sebastian St. Jules made a single save in his time at goal for the Coyotes, with
John Fertitta leading the charge with 5 shots offensively for Southern Nevada.
The Coyotes' next match is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 12, in the Scenic West Athletic Conference opener against Snow College. The match is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Park.
