HENDERSON, Nev. (January 26, 2020). – The No. 12 College of Southern Nevada baseball team suffered a non-conference loss on Sunday.
Concluding a season-opening series against No. 17 Arizona Western College, the Coyotes dropped a 9-4 decision. The losses drop CSN to 1-2 to start the season.
Southern Nevada took an early 2-0 lead, scoring runs in the second and third innings to take a 2-0 lead. Arizona Western tied the game at 2-2 in the fourth inning, erupting for a trio of runs in the fifth inning and two more runs in the sixth inning. Arizona Western posted 16 hits in the CSN loss.

Cole Schaefer both had a pair of hits in the game, with Schaefer going 2-of-3 at the plate with a solo home run.
Southern Nevada will play four games in this weekend's 'Manny Guerra Memorial Coyote Border Battle – Presented by Sunset Station Hotel and Casino'. The games will be hosted at Morse Stadium.
