HENDERSON, Nev. (February 1, 2020) – The College of Southern Nevada softball team concluded the 'CSN Kickoff Classic – Presented by Fiesta Henderson Hotel and Casino' with a loss on Saturday.
The Lady Coyotes were downed by Jones College, 8-2, to go 3-1 in the home tourney. Southern Nevada's overall record sits at 3-3 with the loss.
CSN fell behind early, trailing 7-0 midway through the game. The Lady Coyotes posted a pair of runs in the fifth inning on a Cierra Mikae RBI single but were unable to overcome the early deficit.
Mikae finished 3-of-4 at the plate, while
Bailey Pepper went 2-of-3. Tyanna Kaail took the pitching loss.
Southern Nevada will play a tournament in Yuma next weekend.
