HENDERSON, Nev. (March 6, 2020) – The College of Southern Nevada softball team was swept in its league home-opening doubleheader on Friday at Lady Coyote Softball Field.
The Lady Coyotes were swept by scores of 8-6 and 10-0 by Snow College, falling to 0-6 to start Scenic West Athletic Conference play. CSN's overall record is now 7-12 with the loss.
Southern Nevada and Snow will play at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Snow 8, Southern Nevada 6: An incredible comeback for the Lady Coyotes ended in a disappointing loss.
Trailing 6-1 entering the bottom of the seventh inning, CSN posted five runs to tie the game and send it to extra innings. A
Chasity McKean grand-slam home run made the difference, with a
Mayu Nishijima RBI double also adding to the tally. Unfortunately, a two-run home run by Snow in the eighth inning ended the rally.
McKenzie Hamilton went 4-of-4 at the plate in the game for Southern Nevada.

McKenzie Hamilton went 1-of-2 in the game, adding another hit to her stellar day. CSN's pitching allowed 12 hits and two extra-base hits.
