HENDERSON, Nev. (November 10, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball program dropped a non-conference home game Wednesday.
CSN fell in a 70-57 decision to Arizona Western College, narrowly trailing at halftime and never recovering from there. Southern Nevada is now 3-1 overall.
Both teams started well, with Arizona Western taking a slight 27-25 lead into halftime. The Lady Coyotes struggled offensively in the second half, shooting just 20 percent (3-of-15) in the third quarter to fall behind, 43-37, entering the final period.
Southern Nevada had a trio of players lead the team with 11 points each –
Samantha Greene,
Sharmayne Finley and
Tyra Perkins.
Destiny Brown posted 9 points and 15 rebounds in the loss.
CSN will regroup and travel to Arizona this weekend, with scheduled bouts against Phoenix College and Scottsdale Community College.
