LAS VEGAS, Nev. (December 16, 2021) - Nothing sends a team into a long break like a victory.
The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team will learn just how true that phrase is in the coming days, as CSN heads into its Holiday Break with momentum after earning a 74-70 victory over No. 10 College of Southern Idaho. The win lifts the Coyotes to 7-6 overall, along with a mark of 3-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Southern Nevada started the game with impressive energy, taking a 38-24 halftime lead after shooting 53.57 percent from the field. While CSN cooled in the second half, defense played a large role in the win as the Coyotes held CSI to just 32 percent shooting (8-of-25) in the first half, along a mark of 2-of-15 from three-point range. Southern Nevada forced 19 Southern Idaho turnovers.
Dominique Ford scored 21 points, while
Terrance Marigney and
Dayton Harris both posted 13 points apiece.
John Jenkins finished with 9 points.
Southern Nevada will now head into a holiday break, resuming play on December 27 in an Arizona-based tournament.
