TWIN FALLS, ID. (February 11, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada women's basketball team was downed by the College of Southern Idaho Thursday.
CSN suffered a 91-45 loss to No. 15 CSI in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game, falling to 0-2 overall. The Lady Coyotes fell behind in the second quarter and were never able to gain momentum, trailing 40-20 at halftime.
Southern Nevada played tough early, trailing 18-13 after the end of the first quarter and even taking a small lead in the period. However, CSI outscored CSN by a margin of 22-7 in the second quarter, powering to a strong halftime lead it wouldn't relinquish.
Sharmayne Finely posted a highlight performance for the Lady Coyotes, finishing with 20 points and 8 rebounds.
Coraly Dupree was another highlight scorer, posting 9 points.
The Lady Coyotes will face off against No. 14 Salt Lake Community College to end the three-game road trip on Saturday.
