HENDERSON, Nev. (February 20, 2021) - The No. 20 College of Southern Nevada baseball team suffered a tough loss to close out a home tournament Saturday.

The Coyotes suffered an 8-4 loss at the hands of Colorado Northwestern Community College, facing the longtime Scenic West Athletic Conference foe in the final game of the 'Manny Guerra Memorial Coyote Border Battle - Presented by Sunset Station Hotel and Casino'. The loss drops CSN to 11-5 overall.

In a game that went back-and-forth, Southern Nevada took its first lead of the game in the fourth  inning, using a
John-Howard Bobo two-run single to eventually claim a 3-2 lead over CNCC. The Spartans would tie the game in sixth inning, breaking out for five runs in the ninth inning. In spite of late game heroics from
Damiano Palmegiani, the Coyotes were unable to overcome the deficit.

Bobo finished the game going 2-of-3 at the plate to lead CSN.

Southern Nevada will host a four-game series against California Christian College next weekend. Â
