RANGELY, CO. (February 28, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada men's basketball team played a rare back-to-back in Scenic West Athletic Conference play, closing a two-game set Sunday.
The result of the double-dip with Colorado Northwestern Community College? Two strong wins, with CSN closing the series with a close 81-76 win on Sunday. The victory boosts Southern Nevada to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in Scenic West play.
CSN shot a blistering 52.9 percent in the first half, all the while controlling the glass and pace of play. The Coyotes led by as many as 12 points midway through the first half. CNCC cut the deficit to 77-76 late in the game, with
Larry Holmes icing the game with critical free-throws for Southern Nevada.
Nick Attanasio led CSN with 22 points, while
Larry Holmes scored 14 points.
John Jenkins Jr. and
Jordan Cineus both finished with 11 points.
Dominique Ford was the other double-digit scorer for CSN, posting 10 points.
Southern Nevada will host the College of Southern Idaho Thursday.
