Box Score Yuma, AZ. (February 4, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada softball team fell in the opening game of a weekend non-conference tournament Thursday.
The Lady Coyotes fell 7-2 to host Arizona Western College, starting a weekend tournament where CSN will play five games. Southern Nevada fell to 2-3 overall with the loss.
Arizona Western jumped out to an early 6-0 after the third inning, with Southern Nevada posting a run in the fourth inning to cut the deficit. CSN would score another run in the seventh inning.
Kayley Cole finished 2-of-3 at the plate, while Maya Nishijima went 2-of-4 with an RBI. CSN pitcher
Codilyn Olds took the loss in the game.
Southern Nevada will play a pair of games on Friday, facing off against Central Arizona and Eastern Arizona.
