HENDERSON, Nev. (March 20, 2021) – A tough back-and-forth contest in the Scenic West Athletic Conference did not go the way of the College of Southern Nevada men's basketball team Saturday.
CSN lost a 92-83 overtime decision to visiting USU Eastern, falling to 0-2 on the year against the Eagles. Southern Nevada is now 2-11 overall and in Scenic West games with the loss.
Both teams traded blows throughout the game, with USU Eastern holding a narrow 38-37 lead at halftime and CSN recovering to outscore the Eagles 41-40 in the second half. The Coyotes shot 53.6 percent in the second half (15-of-28), but shot just 20 percent (2-of-10) in the extra period to fall.
Dominique Ford had a career performance, putting up 22 points. Brian Wesley-Lang, Jr., posted 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while
John Jenkins, Jr., also scored 14 points with 18 rebounds.
Nick Attanasio and
Nick Walters both scored 10 points apiece.
CSN will play their final regular-season home game next Saturday, hosting Colorado Northwestern Community College inside the CSN Sports Center.
