HENDERSON, Nev. (March 20, 2021) – The No. 16 College of Southern Nevada baseball team finished off a Scenic West Athletic Conference series sweep Saturday at Morse Stadium.
The Coyotes closed out Colorado Northwestern Community College in grand fashion Saturday, earning a 14-4 run-rule win to finish off the series sweep. CSN is now 22-6 overall and 7-1 in Scenic West play with the victory.
The Coyotes came out firing in the win, scoring in each of the five innings and posting six runs in the first inning.
Colby Smith's two-run double keyed CSN in the first inning, while
Dax Fellows hit a three-run home run in the third inning to add to the advantage.
Joseph Walls hit a two-run home run in the fourth inning to boost Southern Nevada's lead to 12-3.
Trey Frahm was a perfect 3-of-3 at the plate, while Fellows had a team-high four RBI's. CSN had four players with multi-hit games.
Andrew Hauck earned the pitching win, striking out seven CNCC batters in four innings of work.
Southern Nevada will take to the road next weekend, playing at USU Eastern.
