HENDERSON, Nev. (March 6, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada men's basketball team held strong but lost in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game with a nationally-ranked foe Saturday.
The Coyotes lost an 84-68 game with No. 15 Salt Lake Community College, narrowly trailing early before falling late. The loss drops CSN to 2-5 in Scenic West play.
Southern Nevada narrowly trailed at halftime, 29-26, before the Bruins pulled away in the second half. CSN played outstanding defense in the first half, holding SLCC to just 35.5 percent shooting (11-of-31).
A'mari James had a game-high 25 points for the Coyotes, while
Larry Holmes posted 11 points.
Nick Attanasio finished with 9 points.
CSN will take to the road next week, playing at Southern Idaho on Tuesday and USU Eastern on Thursday.
