RANGELY, CO.  (April 22, 2021) – The No. 18 College of Southern Nevada baseball team rolled to a strong road win in a Scenic West Athletic Conference series opener. 
 
The Coyotes earned a 16-5 victory at Colorado Northwestern, staying undefeated in league play against the Spartans. With the win, Southern Nevada is now 33-11 overall and 14-6 in Scenic West play.
 
It was Colorado Northwestern who led early, taking a 2-0 lead after the third inning. The Coyotes got on the board in the fourth inning, scoring four runs thanks to a key two-run home run by Trey Frahm. Dax Fellows added an RBI double in the fifth inning, also adding a two-run double in the seventh inning. 
 
Fellows led Southern Nevada at the plate, going 4-of-5 with five RBI's. Damiano Palmegiani went 2-of-4 at the plate, while Frahm was 2-of-4 with a trio of RBI's. 
 
Johnny Cuevas earned the pitching win, finishing with 11 strikeouts in six innings. Garrett Maloney picked up the save. 
 
Southern Nevada will face off against Colorado Northwestern in a doubleheader Friday.
