RANGELY, CO. (April 22, 2021) – The No. 18 College of Southern Nevada baseball team rolled to a strong road win in a Scenic West Athletic Conference series opener.
The Coyotes earned a 16-5 victory at Colorado Northwestern, staying undefeated in league play against the Spartans. With the win, Southern Nevada is now 33-11 overall and 14-6 in Scenic West play.
It was Colorado Northwestern who led early, taking a 2-0 lead after the third inning. The Coyotes got on the board in the fourth inning, scoring four runs thanks to a key two-run home run by
Trey Frahm.
Dax Fellows added an RBI double in the fifth inning, also adding a two-run double in the seventh inning.
Fellows led Southern Nevada at the plate, going 4-of-5 with five RBI's.
Damiano Palmegiani went 2-of-4 at the plate, while Frahm was 2-of-4 with a trio of RBI's.
Johnny Cuevas earned the pitching win, finishing with 11 strikeouts in six innings.

Southern Nevada will face off against Colorado Northwestern in a doubleheader Friday.
