Box Score 2 RANGELLY, CO. (April 23, 2021) – With the battle for postseason seeding heating up, the No. 18 College of Southern Nevada baseball team earned a pair of critical Scenic West Athletic Conference wins Friday.
The Coyotes, playing on the road at Colorado Northwestern, swept a Friday doubleheader by scores of 11-5 and 8-1. The victories lift CSN to 35-11 overall and 17-6 in Scenic West play, keeping Southern Nevada in contention for the league's top spot with Salt Lake Community College.
CSN and CNCC will conclude their series with a single game on Saturday.
Southern Nevada 11, Colorado Northwestern 5: A strong start lifted the Coyotes to a victory.
CSN posted five runs in the opening frame, utilizing a
Dax Fellows solo home run, alongside an
Austin Plante RBI single.
Damiano Palmegiani added a solo home run in the second inning, while Fellows contributed an RBI double in the seventh inning.
Fellows was a team-high 4-of-5 at the plate, while
Jacob Godman finished with a team-high four RBI's.
Andrew Hauck had the pitching victory, striking out six batters in four innings.

Johnny Cuevas got Southern Nevada on the board in the third inning, tying the game with a solo home run.
Trey Frahm later broke the tie in the inning on an RBI single, with Cuevas following up with an RBI single in the fourth inning.
Damiano Palmegiani posted a two-run single in the sixth inning.
Palmegiani was a team-best 3-of-4 at the plate.
Garrett Maloney earned the pitching win, throwing 4.1 innings and finishing with seven strikeouts.
