HENDERSON, Nev. (April 8, 2021) – The Scenic West Athletic Conference opener for the College of Southern Nevada men's soccer team produced a tough result Thursday.
 
CSN fell in a 2-1 loss to in-state rival Truckee Meadows at Heritage Park, losing on a late go-ahead goal by the Silver State foe. Southern Nevada is now 0-3 overall in the young season, with a mark of 0-1 in Scenic West play.
 
After a scoreless first half, Truckee Meadows posted the first goal of the match in the 66^th minute. Southern Nevada was quick to respond, with Alfredo Diaz tying the match on an Eli Zaragosa assist in the 74^th minute. Unfortunately, TMCC earned the go-ahead goal late.
 
Gonzalez had a team-high three shots for CSN, with all three shots being on-goal. Sebastian St. Jules made a team-high four saves in the match for CSN. 
 
Southern Nevada will host nationally-ranked Salt Lake on Saturday, with a 1:00 p.m. start time at Heritage Park.
