TWIN FALLS, ID. (April 9, 2021) – The No. 16 College of Southern Nevada baseball team was swept in a Scenic West Athletic Conference road doubleheader Friday.
The Coyotes lost a pair of games with the College of Southern Idaho, falling 5-3 in the first game and 9-2 in the second game. CSN is now 27-11 overall, with a mark of 12-6 in Scenic West play.
Southern Nevada and Southern Idaho will conclude the four-game series on Saturday.
Southern Idaho 5, Southern Nevada 3: An early lead did not last for Southern Nevada in the day's first game.
CSN took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning, thanks to a
Jacob Godman RBI single, before Southern Idaho scored five unanswered runs to win the day's action. CSN had five errors in the loss.
Zach Culver went 2-of-2 at the plate to lead Southern Nevada, while
Dax Fellows was 2-of-4.
Southern Idaho 9, Southern Nevada 2: An early CSN lead didn't hold up, with the Golden Eagles scoring eight runs in a single inning to earn the win.
A
Trey Frahm RBI double in the first inning lifted the Coyotes to an early lead, with
Joseph Walls making the lead 2-0 in the third inning on a solo home run. However, CSI scored eight runs in the fifth inning to earn the win.
Walls went 2-of-3 at the plate to lead CSN.
