HENDERSON, Nev. (September 10, 2021) – The College of Southern Nevada Volleyball team earned a split in the second day of a home-hosted tournament Friday.
The Lady Coyotes, playing in the second day of the 'CSN Lady Coyote Volleyball Classic – Presented by Cannery Casino & Hotel', fell in the early match of the day to Arizona Western (3-1) and then rebounded to earn a 3-0 win over South Mountain Community College. The day's results place CSN at 3-6 overall.
Southern Nevada will face off against Wallace State Community College and Glendale Community College to close the tournament Saturday. All matches will be played inside the CSN Sports Center in North Las Vegas.
Arizona Western 3, Southern Nevada 1: CSN won the first set, then fell in the remainder to fall in the match by set scores of 26-24, 14-25, 11-25, 11-25.
Natasha Obradovic posted 13 kills in the loss, while Kayla Barker had 31 assists.
Alana Chun finished with 8 digs.
Southern Nevada 3, South Mountain 0: The Lady Coyotes posted a strong sweep in the day's second match, earning a victory by set scores of 26-24, 25-15, 25-17.
Obradovic led the team with 14 kills, while Autumn Williams contributed 17 digs. Barker had 31 assists in the win.
