HENDERSON, Nev. (September 18, 2021) – A first-ever Scenic West Athletic Conference match between the College of Southern Nevada and Community Christian College ended in a Coyotes victory.
CSN earned a controlling 7-1 win over Community Christian, moving to 3-0-1 in Scenic West play. Southern Nevada is now 3-4-1 overall.
Jose Gonzalez scored in the match's sixth minute, with
Alfredo Diaz scoring in the 12
th minute to give Southern Nevada a 2-0 lead.
Christopher Bramasco and
Eli Zaragosa both posted scores in the first half to give CSN a strong 4-0 lead at halftime. Zaragosa and Bramasco both scored again in the second half, with
Serek Christensen scoring a goal in the 86
th minute to close out the dominating win.
CSN held a 30-5 advantage in total shots, with a 19-2 edge in shots-on-goal.
David Garcia-Doyle earned the victory at goal, making a save.
Southern Nevada will host the NJCAA's top-ranked program on Thursday, welcoming No. 1 Salt Lake Community College.
