HENDERSON, Nev. (January 27, 2022) – A Scenic West Athletic Conference road game against a nationally-ranked foe ended in victorious fashion for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team Thursday.
CSN earned a 78-68 decision over No. 22 Salt Lake Community College, taking an early lead and powering to victory in a game that featured five lead changes. The Lady Coyotes are now 10-13 overall, alongside a mark of 5-6 in Scenic West play. This is CSN's first road win against a nationally-ranked program.
Southern Nevada was crisp offensively throughout the game, shooting 50 percent from the field and making more free-throws than SLCC attempted (26-of-35 at the line). CSN's defense also made a mark as they forced 15 SLCC turnovers.
Destiny Brown continued leading the Lady Coyotes in the impressive road win Thursday, finishing with 26 points and 12 rebounds on 9-of-13 shooting.
Ayauna Scott scored 14 points in the win.
Southern Nevada will continue its road trip Saturday, traveling to play Snow College.
