Coyotes downed by Arizona Western, fall to 1-1 in "Coyote Classic"

Box Score HENDERSON, Nev. (November 18, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team suffered a tough loss in a preseason tournament Friday.
 
Southern Nevada dropped a 75-57 decision to Arizona Western in a 'Coyote Classic' game inside the Coyote Event Center, trailing at halftime and never regaining momentum. The loss sits CSN at 2-5 overall.
 
Arizona Western jumped out to an early lead, posting a 32-25 lead at halftime. CSN was hard-pressed for offense throughout the game, shooting just 30.3 percent and going only 5-of-31 from three-point range. 
 
Darren Jones posted a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds for Southern Nevada, while Johnny Braggs and Ray Daniels both had 10 points. John Jenkins scored 8 points. 
 
Southern Nevada will close the 'Coyote Classic' with a 3:00 p.m. game against Eastern Arizona Saturday.
