HENDERSON, Nev. (November 19, 2022) – One thing seems for certain these days – the College of Southern Nevada Men's Basketball team certainly knows how to keep things exciting.
For the second time in three days, it took overtime for CSN to decide the outcome of a game in the 'Coyote Classic', with the Coyotes posting a 95-92 win over Eastern Arizona College to end the weekend tournament at 2-1. Southern Nevada is now 3-6 overall.
In a game that featured seven lead changes, both teams were tied at 33-33 at halftime. Eastern Arizona then pulled away in the second half, leading by 13 points midway through the second half, before CSN went on a thrilling run to close the deficit to 80-77 with just seconds left.
Needing a miracle, Southern Nevada's Ray Daniels hit a three-point shot with three seconds left in regulation, sending the game to overtime. Darren Jones then hit a pair of clinching free-throws to close the game out in overtime.
Jones had a highlight performance, scoring 32 points and going 13-of-20 at the free throw line. Daniels contributed 19 points, while Kasen Boggs scored 14 points.
Southern Nevada will travel to play a pair of games in Arizona next weekend.
