HENDERSON, Nev. (December 3, 2022) – The College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball program fell in a highly competitive Scenic West Athletic Conference home game Saturday.
A day after going down to the wire with Snow College, the Lady Coyotes fell short again against the Lady Badgers, dropping a 51-49 contest. CSN is now 2-6 overall and 0-2 in Scenic West play.
In a game that went back-and-forth, Southern Nevada and Snow were tied at 49-49 after an
Emily Backus layup with 1:18 remaining. From there, a helter-skelter end to the game ensued, with Snow hitting late free throws to earn the win.
Snow jumped out to a 35-28 halftime lead, prior to CSN going on an 11-4 run in the third quarter to tie the game heading into the fourth quarter. Southern Nevada shot just 28.6 percent from the field, going just 5-of-18 from three-point range.
Aaliyah Ibarra finished with 13 points to lead the Lady Coyotes.
Emily Backus also had 9 points.
Southern Nevada will continue with league play next week, hosting the College of Southern Idaho next Saturday.
