HENDERSON, Nev. (February 23, 2022) – The 2021-22 season has ended for the College of Southern Nevada Women's Basketball team.
CSN lost in the Region 18 tournament quarterfinals Wednesday, falling 67-61 to USU Eastern after falling behind at halftime. With the loss, the Lady Coyotes have ended the season with a program-best record of 14-17.
Southern Nevada struggled offensively throughout the game, falling behind 34-27 at halftime after shooting just 35.3 percent in the first half. USU Eastern led by as many as 16 points in the third quarter, prior to the Lady Coyotes going on a run in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to 64-61 after a
Samantha Greene three-point shot. From there, USU Eastern iced the game with foul shots.
Destiny Brown led the way for Southern Nevada, finishing with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
Sharmayne Finley contributed 13 points.
USU Eastern will advance to face off against top-seeded Southern Idaho on Friday.
